Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She was secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011), the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an election contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki started her professional career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed as the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. [20] There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 the 30th of May, 2014. She was named communications director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end in 2015.
